The Smart LC Method Developer Application (the "App") provides autonomous (intelligent automation) reverse-phase (RP) liquid chromatography (LC) method development behavior. It works on an ACQUITY™ H-Class LC system equipped with ACQUITY™ columns in the Empower™ Chromatographic Data System (CDS). All five steps of the LC Method Development Cycle are performed and two such cycles are executed.

App User Interface
During the first LC method development cycle, the App examines combinations of factors column chemistry, mobile phase pH additive, and mobile phase strong solvent. The App selects the best of these combinations and then automatically continues with the second LC method development cycle to test combinations of factors column temperature and gradient slope time. The best experimental combination of all the five factors is then reported.
LC Method Development Cycle
The App is pre-configured and autonomous, so it is easy to use with little training and very low “Hands On Keyboard” time (< 5min). Simply install it on an ACQUITY™ H-Class LC system with the Empower™ CDS and supply the indicated mobile phases and ACQUITY™ columns. In the user interface, enter a small amount of information and then click the “Begin Method Development” button. In under six hours, you will have an LC method development answer!
